On your first move, get Diamant or Alcryst to talk with Saphir and have her become a member of the army. She and her Brave Axe will be key parts of our defensive line. She can talk with Alear, but Alear cannot be shifted from their starting position and will take several turns to get to her. Position Diamant or Alcryst on one of the spaces atop the pier and they can Talk to her on turn 1, allowing you to recruit her. Anyone who has gotten to a high Bond Level with Lyn is a great choice, as her Alacrity ability will allow you to hit the big lizards twice in a row without them counterattacking if you’re plenty faster than them.įinally, you’ll notice up on the pier segment of the map is Saphir, who can help tremendously in this battle. The wyrms are back and can be a problem, so you’re welcome to send someone to take care of them if you’re afraid of them coming into range to hit you. Visiting these homes will create more Corrupted, although some of them will be holding items.The house to the north has an enemy with a Dracoshield, while the one to the south has Elixir. There are two houses with tiles that you can visit in the town, but DO NOT HIT VISIT AT THESE HOUSES unless you want more battles and possibly some items. This way, we pull the enemies away from their incredibly advantageous miasma minefield and have a shot against such high defensive foes. Yunaka will dart in and create some advantageous fog terrain and we wait for the enemy to come to us, Mauvier first. Our main strategy will be to form a sort of defensive line in the middle area once the cannon fire dissipates. Don’t split your army up too much because we’ll need major swarming sessions to get rid of them.īecause defeating the two of them is the only objective to win, that’s what the focus is on, but you absolutely do not want to go deeper into the map to get them. Also annoyingly, Marni is once again paired with Roy, meaning in total you’ll have to kill her four times and Mauvier three before you can declare victory. Both he and Marni’s beads are also both purple, meaning their damage output will increase after losing a health bar. You’ll also notice that Mauvier, annoyingly, doesn’t have just one Revival Bead, but he has two. If you’ve promoted him to his special class and gotten him to level 5, he learns Luna, a skill that completely ignores the armor on armored units and can strike with all the benefits of archers. Tome users are also hugely important, as not only can they pierce the armored units, but are one of the only ways to really damage Marni this time around.Ī decent ally to bring along if you don’t want to bring along too many mages and you’ve done some grinding is Alcryst. This is where your Ridersbanes, Hammers, and Armorslayers can easily come into play to help take them down. You’ll also notice that virtually every unit is either armored or mounted, including bosses Marni and Mauvier. You can also use our thief/Corrin strategy outlined above. Use this to create neutral areas on the early part of the map. If you didn’t use it or notice in the previous battle, the fire terrain it creates only lasts for one turn, but the terrain becomes neutral once it dissipates. You’ll also notice that your ship has multiple cannons this time, ready to shoot and create fire terrain. Right away, you’ll notice the entire field is filled with miasma, the terrain that kills your Def and Res and jacks it up for your foes. Alear is also a great choice because when a dragon uses Dragon’s Vein, they get to choose what kind of terrain they wish to create and it isn’t locked to class. Therefore, it would help tremendously to have someone create Avo increasing fog for your squad with Corrin. Either with her or Zelkov if he’s your speed, but Yunaka’s exclusive ability allows her to dramatically increase her critical hit rate when in Avo increasing terrain, which Corrin’s Dragon’s Vein will do for her or any thief.įor this battle, transforming the terrain will be a key component. We briefly stated before that we paired Yunaka with Corrin, as we will do so again in this battle and urge you to do the same. Having Rescues and/or Warps on any stave users you plan to bring in also isn’t a terrible idea, as the upcoming map is quite the minefield and you really only want your best troops in one area. If you’ve bonded with Emblem Sigurd or Emerald Ike, Ridersbane and Hammer are their first weapons respectively, so make sure they’re attached to someone before heading out. Prep this time is centered around weapons that target mounted and armored units, so stock up on Ridersbanes, Hammers, and Armorslayers for anyone that can use them.
